Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test” or CSEET is an entrance exam conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for admission into the CS Executive Programme. The CSEET exam is designed to test the aptitude and proficiency of candidates in four subjects: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, and Current Affairs.
The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is a mandatory entrance test for admission to the Company Secretary (CS) Executive Programme. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) introduced CSEET to replace the earlier CS Foundation Programme. The CSEET syllabus includes four papers – Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, and Current Affairs. The exam is conducted online and includes multiple-choice questions, audio and video clips, and essay writing. CSEET aims to test the students’ understanding and application of business communication and legal and economic concepts. Upon clearing the CSEET, students become eligible to enrol in the CS Executive Programme.
The eligibility criteria for the CS Foundation programme are as follows:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
There is no minimum percentage requirement for appearing in the exam.
There is no age limit to apply for the CS Foundation programme.
Candidates who have passed the Foundation programme of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) or The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) are also eligible to apply for CS Foundation.
The duration of the CS Foundation course is approximately 3 months. The course is held twice a year in June and December, and the registration for the course generally starts 6 months prior to the examination date. The course duration includes a minimum of 3 months of study period after registration with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
